Citizenship Application
To qualify for citizenship through naturalization under the current law, applicants must have three years of qualifying permanent resident status during the foregoing five years.
Because of all the intricacies involved in Canadian Citizenship Application, it seems to be a very tiring process involving all the paperwork you have to do. Basic requirements to be met to become a Canadian citizen are to:
1. Be a Permanent Resident.
2. At least 1095 days spent out of the 5 years as a PR.
3. Proving the speaking and writing in French or English
4. At least 3 years of taxes filed in those 5 years. If you own any income tax, it must have been paid off. There will be a process of citizenship test and interview for which we guide you thoroughly.
For grant of citizenship, applications are submitted to the citizenship office in Sydney, Nova Scotia where they are checked making certain that the application is duly filled and the 3 year residence rule has been followed. After submission, applicants will be asked to attend an interview to show their knowledge about Canada in one of Canada’s official languages.
