Provincial Nomination Program
Each year, we can see a significant growth in the number of invitations for PNP candidates by Canadian federal government. The fastest growing pathway to economic immigration in Canada is based on these PNP programs.
If you have specific in-demand skills, education, and work experience, PNP can be a right choice for you. For example, if a certain province requires skilled workers in a particular field, your eligibility will be quick and easy for this program and it can be used as a pathway to becoming a permanent resident in Canada. All provinces have different requirements and so the PNP may not be suitable for everyone.
The provinces in Canada, with the exception of Quebec, operate different PNP programs. Helping them meet out their exclusive immigration goals, these programs have different eligibility criteria and application procedures. The decision authority for Canadian PR is at the national level and all decisions are made by the federal government. Provinces in themselves are not authorized to approve permanent resident status.
Nominations are being made for successful applicants by the provincial government and then applicants submit an application for permanent residence to the federal government.
